For the local residents, today marks the first day of peace and solitude. Not that we do not welcome all our winter loving guests, we also celebrate having our home returned to us for a few months of wonderfulness. The past month has marked the gradual emigration of all our seasonal workers and now we say goodbye to our weekenders...but for the local residents, our fun is just beginning :)
Took Vespi and her new boyfriend up to the peak to check out what's left...looks like the Walkway is open!!
and while some of the taller trees are starting to pop through, there is still plenty of snow up top...
Cascade had neither pine nor dirt! so glorious!!
A lone ski tote hanging at K1 Base...
has it been hanging there since the 80s?
