Sunny Skin To Killington Peak
Left my house at 2pm this afternoon with my skis over my shoulder and walked the 0.3 miles to the trailhead. After that, it was a two hour skin ascent looking into the sun. Through well-trodden ski trails, across gnarly workroads and atop untouched fluffy snow amidst the trees, I wound my way around the mountain.
The goal?
One of my absolute favoritest places in the entire world:
Killington Peak
But its not the destination, its the journey.

Um, these were not Vespi's tracks.
I am pretty sure that it was a long legged coyote/wolf type animal that I spotted about 200 yards ahead of me on the trail.
We made eye contact.
And then he dove uphill into the woods.
