Killington Peninsula: Turning PINK for Foliage?

NOTICE: Killington Resort is CLOSED to the public - and for good reason. Please DO NOT go meandering up on the mountain. Give us the time to clean up after Irene and get ready to welcome you for foliage!!

this is what my access to the mountain looks like - just a wee bit soggy...

amidst the soggy and rotten debris, so many mushrooms are finding happiness...

Looking put toward RamsHead and Pico from Skye Peak

beauty creeping up through the rocky work roads...

notice the moss turning pink as it transitions into its fall colors...

this guy was more than willing to pose for photographs...

Looking up at Killington Peak, sans lodge...

Vespi playing on the rocks up Vertigo...

just another beautiful day on the trails :)

Hints of foliage color starting to peek through!!

and this is why helemts are required in the woods: too much debris settling!

the moss is turning its colors for foliage!!

making our way up the mountain...

PINK MOSS!! This might be my absolute favorite part of foliage :)

damn, it is beautiful up here :)
