Up RamsHead with the Sun
Literally. Vespi and I pulled into the K1 Parking lot at 6:30 this morning, ten minutes before sunrise. As the sun rose in the sky, we rose in elevation.
One hour later, we were both at about the same height in the sky.
It was a morning to cherish :)
While the first half was spent walking through the glowing fog...
...as the sun came out, the second half of our hike was filled with glowing colors...
But standing stop the old RamsHead Double ramp, looking out over Skye And Killngton Peaks...
...I was reminded how beautiful the mountain is...
...even when it's a collection of shades of brown...
...because eventually all those leaves will fall on the ground...
...cushioning the earth for what is to come...
...that blanket of white that will cover the bed of grasses...
...and turn everything into a winter playground...
...but for now, I encourage you all to come up and see...
...our beautiful colors...
...because soon, so very soon, we will ski :)
